Michael Pattison to head-up International Brand Management

Darren Williams and Sarah Nicholson appointed as new Brand Assistants

Further expansion with the appointment of a new Brand Manager overseeing Mattel brand

Woking, Surrey UK – 26 February, 2001 – THQ International Ltd, a division of THQ Inc. (NASDAQ NMS: THQI), today announced the restructuring of its international Brand Management group and the appointment of Michael Pattison, with immediate effect, as the new department Head.

With the departure of the current Group Marketing Director (International), Colin Brown, who leaves THQ International this week to pursue other interests in Australia, the department has been re-structured to exclusively concentrate on the brand management of THQ’s extensive portfolio of licensed products, including games based on the company’s flagship brands, Nickelodeon™, WWF™ (World Wrestling Federation), Warner Bros. ™ and Saban International™ in all territories outside North America.

Michael Pattison joined THQ as Senior Brand Manager in July 2000, with brand responsibility for WWF™, Championship Motocross™ and the eagerly anticipated first-person-shooter, Red Faction™, amongst others. Pattison was previously at Infogrames, where he was I-Heroes Senior Brand Manager for Warner Bros. titles.

The re-structuring of the department also sees the appointment of two new Brand Assistants. Darren Williams joins from Hasbro Interactive and Sarah Nicholson joins from Communication Agency, Marston (Paris) and, previously, Disney Interactive (Paris).

THQ is also currently looking to further strengthen the department with the appointment of a new Brand Manager, who will be responsible for managing the recently acquired Mattel brands, Matchbox™ and Hot Wheels™.

Senior Vice President of International Publishing, Tim Walsh, commented: “Michael has played an integral part in the development of the brand group and I look forward to having him continue this good work and lead THQ’s brand strategy internationally as the next generation consoles launch and our business expands.”

THQ International Ltd is a division of THQ Inc. and develops, publishes and distributes interactive entertainment software worldwide for a variety of hardware platforms including PC CD-ROM, and those manufactured by Sega, Nintendo and Sony. The THQ Web site is located at http://www.thq.com.
